PREPAREDNESS

In 2004 Hurricane Ivan landed on our shores, bringing about massive devastation. In response GBUMC became more intentional about planning and preparing for natural disasters.

June 1st begins hurricane season. Because you are a part of our church family we want to follow up with each of you in the event of a disaster. Please take a few minutes to provide the following information.

I would like to serve on one of the following disaster teams:
Communications Team (calling individuals and teams before and after the disaster.
Preparedness Team (Securing homes and church facilities prior to the disaster, moving furniture, hanging 1st floor shutters, installing sandbags, etc.)
Response Team (providing assistance to individuals following the disaster.)
Kitchen Team (Prepare and serve food to first responders and city workers.)
I would like assistance in preparing for a storm.
