A Service of Forgiveness & New Beginning
Sunday, December 2nd at 4pm in the Sanctuary
With these words, John the Baptist called the people to get ready for the coming of the Messiah. The call was for repentance from sin. From repentance came God’s gifts of forgiveness and a new beginning.
The Season of Advent is a time to center our lives in the mercy of God. This mercy comes through the gift of God’s Son, who gives himself for our salvation and redemption.
You are invited to a special service where forgiveness and new beginnings will be celebrated. A challenging and hopeful message will be preached, a prayer of confession will be voiced by all, and forgiveness will be announced in the name of Jesus Christ. We will open our hearts to God’s grace for a new beginning - for ourselves, our church, and our community.
Dr. Don Winslett will be the preacher, Holy Communion will be shared, and we will worship the One who forgives and helps us begin again.
