SENIOR PASTOR'S NOTE

The Five InVisioned Future Principles for GBUMC

Many people have asked where the Visioning Committee of GBUMC stands in terms of developing the next phase of our Vision Plan for the congregation.

I am happy to report that the Vision Team has made great strides and has developed five preliminary areas of focus for our church to consider over the next weeks, months and years. These areas of focus were presented to the Church Council at its last meeting.

The FIVE Principles follow the teaching established in Acts 2: 42-47 when the first Christians arrived on the scene. These concepts are not just ancient principles but living, active ways to find God and to also be in ministry with each other.

Here are the Five InVisioned Future Principles for GBUMC: read more

THANK YOU...

Dear Prayer Shawl Ministry Ladies,
I recently received one of your beautifully hand stitched prayer shawls.  The first time I put it around my shoulders I immediately felt God’s love and all the caring prayers that went into each stitch. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, time and prayers. Blessings to all, Rebecca Gundrum

Dear GBUMC Family,
Thank you for all you do.  I appreciate the love and prayers everyone sends my way.  Emily Baird

Members of Gulf Breeze Methodist Church, I just knew I was among the greatest folks in the world when I was given a prayer shawl to wrap me in the goodness of your hearts while I was at the Life Care Center after my tragic fall.  It has taken five months, a lot of therapy and kind attention by so many folks, to get me on my feet again.  I’m still with my cane, but that is a long way from my wheelchair, to my walker and now my cane.  You all have kept me going after my return home by wonderful meals to my door, by phone calls, visits and ever so many cards and notes.  Who could ask for more love and attention?  My prayers are always with you and let’s all say a big one for my continued health, and may each one know that our Gulf Breeze Methodist is a caring place, both in sickness and in health.  High praise goes to each and everyone.  By the way, my pew is waiting for me.  Is yours?  Fondly, Boots Clutter
